Alternative Breast Cancer Cures
Alternative cures for breast cancer.?

I am only 31 years old, and was diagnosed with breast cancer in October and will be starting chemo soon, followed by radiation. I am looking for alternative ways to help my body get rid of the cancer, and also help with the side effects of chemo and radiation.

Listen to me on this–I’ve had it, too. Just be good to yourself. Pamper yourself as often as you can. Massages, manicures, pedicures. Also, set up an appointment with a nutritionist. That was the best thing I did for myself. I was on good medication for the nausea (which was bad during the chemo) called Zofran. So I did have some appetite. I ate a lot of lean protein, carbs that were whole wheat and high fiber (no white bread, white rolls, white rice, white potatoes, etc) and lots of vegetables like greens, spinach, tomatoes…really high in antioxidents. It kept my energy level up and had a tremdous effect on my mood. Cancer is SO depressing and if you don’t eat right, get plenty of sleep and exercise (even if it’s just walking everyday) it will make you feel so much worse. I would also suggest getting into a support group. Talk to someone in your oncologist’s office and they will be able to tell you where to go.

Make sure you have a good relationship with your oncologist. When you don’t feel good–call their office. Whether it’s pain, nasuea…whatever. Call them and get something. Don’t try to force yourself to just go through it without help. The Zofran worked well for me, but there are plenty of others. Not to mention great pain meds, if you need them. My older sister was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 months ago. She had a lumpectomy and then radiation. She had terrible nausea and took Reglan–it worked for her. She’s doing great now. Best of luck to you–email me if you want to talk further.
