Cancer question??

I am a registered nurse. A friend of mines wife was diagnosed with breast CA about 2 years ago. They discovered about a month after finding she was pregnant. Fear of chemo on a fetus caused them to look into alternatives for treatment. They saw an herbalist and got into “juicing”. Add to that major dietary changes and the herbs and supplements. The cancer at its worst was a “Stage 4″ She now has a couple of small operable area to her breast now and her cancer markers on blood tests are dropping. I am a nurse so we all thought they were crazy to try this. Especially after delivering a healthy baby. Our thoughts were to go on chemo NOW. She has done no chemo or radiation. Anyone else have similar stories? I am not trying to sell anything and don;t want anything sold to me. I just want more first hand accounts and some websites where I can research on my own to be able to speak intelligently.

Your friend has already rolled the dice and has delivered her baby. If she continues rolling the dice she will soon discover why the game is called Craps.

I was (and am) an active juicer for more than ten years prior to my cancer diagnosis. I am not the only juicer who posts here regularly that took all the right vitamins, ate the right foods, took care of myself and still came down with cancer. Juicing certainly does not treat cancer. Your friend has been lucky so far but that does not mean that her cancer has not been spreading. Has she had any PET scans? Unfortunately, I’d bet right now that her scans would show adenopathy elsewhere besides her breast tumors.

In my opinion she is doing her new baby a real disservice by not taking care of herself properly when her current path will almost certainly soon deprive the child of the company her mother. As you know, the window of opportunity for curing many types of cancer is often quite small and it is sad when a young mother would waste her chance at a cure. If you can not talk some sense into the husband and wife then encourage them to get her affairs in order because miracles are very rare and do not come made to order.
